The smell is almost intoxicating, especially on warm evenings. <br /><br />Looking at the fiddlehead photos again, they are actually baby sensitive ferns {Onoclea sensibilis}, which are just as nifty as our bracken ferns {Pteridium aquilinum}. I can't wait for the day she fills the yard with her scented purple splendour.
